3. Adele and Winifred Sanderson (Hocus Pocus)

It’s been almost 25 years since Winifred Sanderson, fabulously raised from the grave by Bette Midler, put a spell on us in Hocus Pocus. The movie has become a Halloween staple, and fans are still hoping for a sequel. (Bette Midler said she’s on board with the idea too!) Of course the movie’s most iconic scene comes when Winifred sings “I Put A Spell On You” at the adult Halloween party, as her sisters sing backup.

It’d be hard for anyone to match Winifred’s powerful vocals…well, anyone except Adele. A duet between these two would be the purest form of magic. Adele initially got most of her writing inspiration from her terrible exes. Winifred has had her own share of disappointment there (RIP William “Billy” Butcherson) but holds even more of a grudge. The heartbreak song written by Winifred Sanderson and Adele, be it a ballad or a dance number, would pull no punches.

We’d never suggest breaking up the Sanderson sisters entirely, but a tour with Winnie and Adele could easily last 300 years, even if Adele has said she may not be touring much anymore. With 15 Grammys to her name, Adele is almost a musical witch already, right?
