11 Actresses We Think Would Be Perfect to Play Batgirl in the DCEU

As awesome as it is to brainstorm some of my favorite actresses, I love when franchises find brand new up and coming actresses to headline a film. Often, they choose this person based solely on talent, which means they’re good.

Obviously, that’s how Daisy Ridley got started. She woke up one day with a feeling, and suddenly, she was the star of one of the biggest franchises in the world.

Joss Whedon, as producer, writer and director, has all the power and time he needs to do his homework. He can spend time, do the research and search the globe for someone completely new or just someone most audiences are unfamiliar with. So if Joss Whedon really wanted to pour his heart into this project as opposed to saying, “Yes, I also made Batgirl,” then he may want to consider giving someone new a chance instead of bringing a movie star into play.
