Beyoncé’s Presence on Social Media Nets Her a Ridiculous Amount of Cash

For some people, social media is just a way to release aggression in 140 characters or less. For Beyoncé? It’s a veritable goldmine.

Beyoncé Knowles has offered a lot to this world. She’s a talented singer, dancer, and overall entertainer. The love, and damn near worship, from her fans is clear. If you need another reason as to why she slays so hard, consider this. For every post Queen Bey makes online, she stands to rake in over one million dollars in ad revenue.

A new report from D’Marie Analytics shows that Beyoncé has the most valuable social media presence, though she’s the 22nd most followed celebrity online. A single post from the Queen has quite a high reach, and advertisers are more than willing to throw money at that, like when Bey signed a $50 million contract with Pepsi in 2012. According to Forbes, her net worth in 2017 is  a staggering $290 million dollars.

Some of the posts made by Beyoncé, like her Instagram pregnancy photoshoot or Lemonade album drop have received international news coverage. They become rare bits of insight into this popular singer’s life, showing how much work she’s doing in private. So naturally, the more attention gained, the bigger the revenue stream.

D’Marie Analytics chief executive Frank Spadafora recently told Moneyish, “Her limited release of exclusive, curated content…causes such frenzy from her audience. These days, less really is more.”

Though I myself am not a Beyoncé fan (I’ve been known to listen to Halo on repeat), I appreciate her talents and contributions as an entertainer. I know better than to poke at the Beyhive, so I’ll just give my kudos to Ms. Knowles and wonder how I can make some cash from my occasionally emo tweets.
