The Walking Dead returns this week with “The First Day of the Rest of Your Life,” the long-awaited season 7 finale. Here’s the synopsis.

It’s finally here: The season 7 finale of The Walking Dead where war breaks out between Negan and … basically everyone else. We’ve suffered way too long with Negan as the show’s main villain, so I’m pretty pumped to see what happens by season’s end. Let’s talk about the synopsis.

The synopsis put out by AMC reads:

"“The stakes continue to grow higher as paths cross; the group enacts an intricate plan.”"

Rick’s group will obviously cross the paths of others, and hopefully, the others (like The Kingdom, Hilltop, possibly Oceanside, and the Scavengers) will web on our side. If you haven’t seen the trailer yet for this finale, you’ll want to check that out here:

And here’s a sneak peek of what’s to be expected between Morgan and the King:

While King Ezekiel finally is ready to give in and fight against Negan with Rick, Morgan is standing his ground. But Ezekiel uses the method of guilt to change Morgan’s mind. Will the memory of Benjamin get Morgan to switch sides? Will he follow through with it? Who knows — maybe Morgan will be our unsung hero by the end of the episode.

This day has been a long time coming so I hope it lives up to every fan’s expectations, a.k.a RIP Negan. Maybe this’ll be “The First Day of the Rest of Your Life” without him.
