If you weren’t sure if Ben Wyatt was adorable or not, let me tell you about his best friend. You’d think I’d be referring to Leslie Knope or Chris Traeger. But no, that isn’t really true. His most tried and true confidant is not a human at all.

No, it is his calculator. Yes, Dr. Buttons is Ben’s best friend. Because really, who has a calculator that they’ve named? Well, the answer to that question is Ben Wyatt. Basically we learned of Dr. Buttons and he has continued to show up throughout the show.

It just helps to prove how dorky and cute Ben can be. He has a calculator that he loves. Which, while said out of context could sound absolutely insane, but it ended up working with his character.

He is just someone who has these sentimental things that make him happy. After Ice Town, he ended up going crazy with numbers and money and it is just sweet for us to think about Ben turning to Dr. Buttons to help him with his math equations.

So whether or not that’s true, it is still sweet that Ben has a calculator that he named. Dr. Buttons for always and forever.
