The battle rages on with Seth Meyers and Stephen Colbert as they continue to go back and forth with their coverage on President Donald Trump.
Seth Meyers and Stephen Colbert do a great job of covering what is going on. We’ve seen it week after week with their coverage seeming to overlap. And yesterday, it happened once more. This time with Trumpcare and the health care fiasco that turned into last week.
For those who have lived under a rock, the Trump administration pulled the bill that was being put in place to repeal Obamacare for this new health care reform. But what we learned was that it was terrible, 24 million people would lose health care and Paul Ryan drove away listening to a Papa Roach song.
So both Seth and Stephen took their takes on the health care bill and ran with it. They pointed out the faults of what happened with the pulled bill as well as commented on the ads that ran after the bill was pulled saying it passed.
And both stuck with their normal segments. Seth took it to a Weekend Update like moment when he came up with points and then joked about it for a while. The best came when he talked about Trump grabbing the deals and explaining why that might be why he wasn’t doing so well with Congress.
Colbert took to his opening monologue, admitted that his show last week was pre-taped, and then tore into the health care. His best moment was when he talked about why they pulled the bill and pointed out that Trump didn’t have the majority of the vote to get the bill passed. Colbert’s response? “That didn’t stop you from being the President.”

As always, both men did an incredible job. They pointed out the disaster of last week and it is nice to have their fresh voices on it.
