7. Men do what she says
Dany is obviously a very powerful woman, and sometimes us ladies like to have a man around (or woman, whatever fits your fancy). Either way, it’s nice to have a partner in crime. And for someone like Dany, she’s always going to be the one to come first. That’s why this scene where Daario strips for her (at her request) really resonates with us, and it’s not just because he’s portrayed by Michiel Huisman.
Not only is it a nice parallel to the Season 3 episode “Second Sons,” where Daario sees her in all her glory, it’s just another example of how powerful a woman Dany really is. Not only will this man fight (and kill) for her, he’ll do whatever she commands. Obviously this is something Dany knew, or else she wouldn’t have asked him to strip down. Being a woman in the Game of Thrones universe isn’t always the easiest thing. There’s times where the world seems progressive, but can be quite patriarchal in other respects. Dany flips that notion on its heels (more on that later), and gives her the upper hand, no matter if a man or a woman is in the room.
The last men who tried to make her look like a fool, the Thirteen of Qarth, got exactly what was coming to them. Eleven were slaughtered by magic, one was incinerated by dragonfire, and the other? Well, it’s safe to assume he’s nothing more than a skeleton rotting away in a Qarthian vault. Big mistake.
