21. She’s shrouded in mystery

From the moment we met Daenerys Targaryen  in Season 1’s “Winter is Coming,” we knew there was something special about her. Though she looked like a lost little girl, there was always something more behind her light eyes. A certain something one could never quite put their finger on. But as it turns out, that’s a good thing.

It’s not always the best thing to put every thought you have out there. Some things are much better left unsaid. Dany is the kind of woman who chooses her words carefully, and doesn’t give too much information away. She says just enough to keep people interested in what she says, and floats enough information that make people want to dig a bit deeper. It creates a sort of chase between her and her subjects. They continue to follow and try to solve this beautiful mystery that’s leading them on the path of prosperity and peace.

Leaving a few things to the imagination always keeps the people’s interest. We’ll never fully understand everything that goes on in Dany’s mind. Even someone like Daario probably didn’t get everything out of her, even during the intimate times. That’s when people usually spill their guts, but as it seems the dragon doesn’t just come around for everyone.

Having an air of mystery about you is always intriguing. It shows people you don’t just give things away for free. And when you’re ready to rule the Seven Kingdoms, the safest bet is to keep people guessing in the best way possible.
