This television season, Westworld took viewers by storm. We all had our theories and ideas but which host had free will first?

When it comes to Westworld and the shows hosts, there are quite a few glitches. Mainly that the hosts are beginning to fight against the system they were created for and are starting to have their own ideas and personalities apart from those created for them. But who was the first to express this newly found free will?

Well if you haven’t see the finale yet, do not read on. Go read a book. There are some great ones out there.

Okay, you’re buckled in for spoilers? Great. In the finale, we saw Delores (Evan Rachel Wood) taking a gun and shooting Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins) in an act of her own free will. But was she the first one to do it? Or was it even free will?

At PaleyFest, the shows co-creator Jonathan Nolan talked about the Reddit message boards and what the moment meant for himself and for Delores.

“I’ve been waiting for the message boards on Reddit to tell us. The way that we designed it and the way we shot it… that is really the first decision she’s ever made. For me, it’s a very emotional moment in the episode because you’re seeing the first free will.”

So does this mean that more hosts will slowly gain their own free will or is Delores even the first one to do something like this?
