There’s a lot of TV out there these days and a lot of things to sift through. Let me make that easier for you. Here’s a gay girl’s guide on what to watch!
If you’re in the market for a certain kind of love story that parallels your own life, then it’s often hard to find that by just turning on the TV. From the “gay best friend” to the “butchy lesbian” trope, a lot of shows and movies are inclusive towards queer characters these days. However, it’s typically through those exact traits I mentioned above. It’s Kevin Keller on Riverdale. But it’s rarely the lead of the show. So where do you go when you’re looking for something that satisfies that? Well, that’s why we’re here!
I’m listing out a variety of movies and television shows that you shouldn’t pass up. Whether they’re on the air now or you need to binge them on Netflix, each one has its own way of making your heart swell when you watch it. they’re not always perfect. That’s why I’ve included a category titled, “Shows you should be cautious about.” Shows in this category will have scenes or even seasons that you’ll want to avoid, but the story beforehand is definitely worth watching.
So settle in for a little spring binge-watching. Here’s my Gay Girl’s Guide to TV and Movies.
