Seafood Meunière

Meunière is a name for both a method of preparing a fish, and a sauce that goes with it. We stuck to the fish for this recipe, which is a favorite of the children in Rito Village and the objective of a quest there. You can make this recipe out of most fish, but for this, we used cheap and easy tilapia.

Breath of the Wild ingredients:

  • Seafood of any kind
  • Goat Butter
  • Tabantha Wheat

Our ingredients:

  • 2 pieces of fish of any type, as long as they are thawed/deboned/otherwise ready for frying
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 tablespoon minced parsley

  1. Combine the flour with a teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper in a shallow bowl.
  2. Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat until it is melted and coats the pan nicely.
  3. Sprinkle salt along one side of the fish pieces, then roll them in the flour mixture until evenly coated.
  4. Lower the heat to medium-low. Place the fish in the hot butter, cooking on one side for about two minutes. Then, flip them carefully.
  5. After flipping the fish, add the lemon juice to the pan and cook for another two minutes, or until the fish is done. Sprinkle with parsley to serve.
  6. If you still have liquid in the pan, you can cook it a bit further and pour it over the fish to serve, ideally with rice or another grain.
