Supergirl Season 2 Episode 17 “Distant Sun” Synopsis

Supergirl is back this week with “Distant Sun” and things are, once again, being stirred up in the love department between all our problematic favs.

Did you miss The Flash last week? This episode of the Tuesday night CW show was critical in the plot line for Kara Danvers so be sure to check out my recap of it here. To sum it up quite nicely though- Kara is back with Mon-El.

I know, I know. Ew. I think so too. But it happened and now we have to deal with it so let’s get along with this week’s synopsis where maybe she realizes she made a giant mistake.

The synopsis reads:

"“A large bounty is put out on Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and aliens from far and near attack National City intent on taking out the woman of steel. Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (Floriana Lima) run into Maggie’s ex-girlfriend, Emily (guest star Hayley Sales), who is in town for a week. Hank (David Harewood) gets an interesting order from President Marsdin (guest star Lynda Carter). Kevin Smith directed the episode written by Gabriel Llanas & Anna Musky-Goldwyn (#217). Original airdate 3/27/2017.”"

Woah, woah, woah. Maggie’s ex-girlfriend is in town!? Girl better step back because Alex Danvers isn’t afraid to put up a fight. Especially if it’s for Maggie.

Was that Kara punching Mon-El in the face? Am I living for it? Do I even have to ask if you are too?

This episode is turning out to be quite the pot-stirrer. Maybe everything isn’t forgiven after all. At least that’s what I’m going to keep telling myself. Stay tuned for an episode of epic proportion.
