2. Ganon

Calamity Ganon takes two different forms when you fight him at the end of the game. His first form, seen in the above screenshot, has the distinctly red mane that has been a trademark of Ganon and Ganondorf almost from the word go in terms of Zelda. (He was more blue than red in the original game, and that held until games like A Link to the Past.) However, with Ocarina of Time, Ganondorf became a redhead and his beast form, Ganon, had red hair and some weapons of his own. (For bonus points, Urbosa also mentions that Ganon once was a Gerudo man.)

That Ganon did not have a Guardian-style laser beam, but Calamity Ganon does.

Lest you think a fight in Hyrule Field itself, which is where you’ll be when you and Link square off against Dark Beast Ganon, is new, you may want to think again on that as well. In the four-part final boss of Twilight Princess, the last two portions take place in Hyrule Field. You even get to ride your horse for part of it, as you can against Dark Beast Ganon, though Zelda will do the shooting for you. Unfortunately, you don’t get the chance to have a one-on-one sword fight with Ganondorf, but Breath of the Wild can’t have everything, can it? Besides, Breath doesn’t even have Ganondorf; he just doesn’t show up as much as Ganon does.
