If you’re like me and I know I am, then you’re excited for the new season of Mystery Science Theater 3000. Even though part of you may think it’s a little weird that it’s a whole new cast and crew and you’re not sure how to feel about it.
But Joel Hodgson has always had a vision. He knew what he was doing when he launched the Kickstarter to break all Kickstarters and revive this beloved cult classic. And despite those slight misgivings in the back of our minds of how we’ll react to a new iteration, the excitement outweighs it.
Now… now we have a tiny glimpse at what our futures may hold come April 15th. Netflix has released a short teaser trailer for the new series. Check it out below, and prepare for all of the nerdy feels:
Take a deep breath, calm down, and watch it again. Take in every second of its glory, because I honestly didn’t expect it to look so good.
New ways to launch them into the movie sign! Crow sounds pretty good (and is as sassy as ever)! Patton Oswalt as TV’s Son of TV’s Frank is everything. And how about seeing Pearl Forrester alongside Felicia Day’s Kinga Forrester?
And the B-movies! They’re back and absolutely glorious! Did you guys miss this show as much as I did? Did you even realize you missed it this much? How many movies will rank up there with the likes of Manos: The Hands of Fate, Space Mutiny, or Mitchell? And how many cameos will we have from old cast members that we don’t expect? We’ll just have to watch and find out!
