When it comes to playing Bones, you kind of have to have a certain charm about you. There’s no way around it. Really playing any character in the original series of Star Trek requires a level of charm and wit that helps you carry the story.

And so luckily, we got Karl Urban playing our Leonard McCoy. This Australian hunk took on the role and it is just so fun to see a Star Trek fan in the series. With him and Pegg, they’re just fun to watch because they love the characters and the series as much as we do.

Karl though isn’t just Bones. He’s also an amazingly talented actor who has taken our hearts and ran with them, never to return. He’s funny and witty and a sharp dressed man. All the requirements to make a man dangerous.

But in the end, Karl is really just an amazing talent that we’re lucky to have in this new bout of Star Trek films. And hopefully, we continue to see his career grow. After all, Pete’s Dragon was good but come on, we need more Urban in our life! This man is a national treasure that we stole from Australia!
