“Twenty Something Girls vs. Thirty Something Women” – Sex and the City

All I can say to this is “Yesss, queens.” The Sex and the City ladies take a very grown up vacation to the swanky Hampton shore, but when they get there they have to contend with all the young women banging out an annoyingly immature Spring Break.

Although I was those “twenty something” women at one point in my life, with some distance, I can now freely admit how ridiculous and obnoxious they truly are. While Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda turn up for a weekend in what they think is going to be a very chic getaway at a Hampton, they are surprised to find some younger women dominating the party scene.

No longer interested in keg stands, funneling beers, or thong bikinis, the ladies roll their eyes through interaction after interaction with the younger women. I can relate so hard. Anybody over 30 knows the feeling of being the oldest person in the room, so they are going through a very familiar situation.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with being in your ’20s. It’s filled with adventure and excitement, and it really is the best time of your life. Until you hit your ’30s, then your ’40s, and so on. The older you get, the lower your tolerance becomes for the nonsense committed by those that are younger then you.

This episode makes me want to grab up my best girlfriends and set out on an age-appropriate weekend with them all.
