Spring flowers take over Disney at the annual Epcot Flower & Garden Festival. Check out the amazing floral sculptures of your favorite characters!
Everyone has a favorite Disney character. Little girls may love the Disney princesses. Others may recall classic tales from their youth. These characters are etched in everyone’s memories. During the annual Epcot Flower & Garden Festival, these characters come to life in beautiful floral masterpieces.
The annual Epcot Flower & Garden Festival has returned to Disney once more. Having expanded to a total of 90 days, this year’s event sought to become more breathtaking than ever before. And the most stunning display pieces are the Disney character topiaries.
Part of the Disney family, Epcot balances the iconic Disney characters with cultural, environmental, and scientific understanding. While some aspects of Future World may seem dated, the iconic Epcot sphere still hold a memorable place for visitors. World Showcase offers glimpses into country’s culture, history and food.
During the Flower and Garden Festival, Epcot displays the character topiaries throughout the park in areas where the characters relate. These floral sculptures bring your favorite Disney characters to life. From modern classics, like Beauty and the Beast, to iconic classics, like Bambi, these living sculptures have real character.

One of the most popular visitor areas at Epcot is Norway. The always packed Frozen ride makes Norway in World Showcase continuously busy. Before getting in line for Frozen, stop by the Anna and Elsa character topiaries. New this year at the festival are the more life-like faces. These two Norwegian beauties seem to exude grace and power.

Since Mickey is king of all Disney parks, his character topiaries are scattered throughout the park. Upon walking in, Mickey greets guests in a Maypole celebration. Personally, I preferred the Fantasia Mickey display over near The Land. Mickey stands surrounded by his magical broomsticks. For me, this topiary makes me believe that anything is possible.

The most colorful of all the character topiaries is Bambi. Joined by his friends Thumper and Flower, this topiary embodies Springtime. From the colors in the characters themselves to the floral floor, they look like beautiful painting. This vignette is a must stop for pictures.

With the recent release of the live action movie, Beauty and the Beast, France, in World Showcase, features four of the movie characters. Standing before the entrance to the France exhibit, Belle and The Beast welcome guests. Tucked off to the side, Cogsworth and Lumiere jovially stand together. While neither pairing breaks out into song, the topiaries are gorgeous.

In total, Epcot Flower & Garden Festival has 23 character topiaries. In addition to the ones mentioned above, there are Winnie the Pooh with his red balloon, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and even Phineas and Ferb. If you are lucky enough to go to festival, consult the Garden Passport for character topiaries and their locations.
