Blondie has just dropped their new single, “Long Time,” off of their upcoming eleventh (!) studio album, Pollinator, which will be released on BMG Records.
From their early days as an integral part of the 1970s punk movement in New York City, to a pop music staple on the radio in the 1980’s, to a revolutionary band with prescient lyrics and a throwback vibe in the new millennium, Blondie — led by the eternally-gorgeous Debbie Harry — never goes out of style.
If you liked “Heart of Glass” — which was released all the way back in 1979 — you’ll love “Long Time.”
Take a listen below.
According to a press release about the single, Blondie will be releasing 750 copies of “Long Time” on 7-inch vinyl records as a Record Store Day exclusive. On the flip side of the single will be “The Breaks,” which is a non-LP cut. “The Breaks” was written by Chris Stein and Debbie Harry, who have always been the main backbone of the band since its inception.

To celebrate the release of Pollinator, Blondie will be kicking off a North American tour called The Rage and Rapture Tour, which will kick off on July 5th, and which will feature 1990’s grunge rockers Garbage as a co-headliner. Tickets for the shows are on sale now.
"“For the last four decades, Blondie – Debbie Harry, Chris Stein, Clem Burke and long-standing band members Matt Katz-Bohen, Leigh Foxx and Tommy Kessler – has become and still remains a true national treasure; one whose influence both shaped and continues to inform the worlds of music, fashion and art.”"
