Still hoping for a release date of Go Tell The Bees That I Am Gone? You’re not alone. While we wait, let’s rank current the Outlander book series.
Droughtlander is in full effect. Unfortunately for fans, this will continue until Diana Gabaldon announces the release of the ninth book in the Outlander book series, Go Tell The Bees That I Am Gone. She has been diligently posting passages from the new book on her Facebook page, but still no date for when we can get it in our hot little hands. Gabaldon will publish a book this year called Seven Stones To Stand Or Fall. It’s a collection of previously published novellas from the Outlander series but as a bonus, two new stories. It’s a great place to start if you’ve finished the main book series and wanted to start on her novellas. The Lord John Grey series is also highly entertaining but separate from the Outlander storyline.
One would think with all books Gabaldon has written for Outlander, how could any think of ranking them all? And to that, I say, very easily. Here’s the thing about Outlander book series, you can ask a thousand fans to rank it, and I guarantee each person will have a different answer. That’s what makes the series so unique. There’s characters, themes, and symbolism that everyone can relate to in a variety of ways. It’s also why the books are so re-readable. It’s a real testament to Diana’s talent.
But before I go into this deep sea dive into the book series, I would first like to say Diana Gabaldon has my deepest appreciation for the world she created. While I may criticize portions of her books, I still love them all. So without further ado, here’s my ranking of the Outlander book series.
