RuPaul Reveals That He is Married to Georges LeBar

The star of RuPaul’s Drag Race, RuPaul, admitted that he married long time partner Georges LeBar this past January on their anniversary!

RuPaul has been keeping a secret from us all! But then again, it is something he rarely talks about. Ru, our drag mother extraordinaire, has married his long time partner Georges LeBar! The two met in a club back in 1994 and have been together ever since.

So this January, on their anniversary, the two wed after 23 years together. When asked about it on Hollywood Today Live and host Ross Mathews asked him about his relationship.

“I’ve never said this on television before… we are married.” Ru revealed this on the show and fans everywhere rejoiced for our Momma Ru!

“I met him on the dance floor at Limelight in 1994 on his birthday. So we got married on his birthday on the anniversary of when we met… so this year in January.”

RuPaul, who gained the name Momma Ru on his show RuPaul’s Drag Race is an icon in the drag community and a source of inspiration for many out there. “If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else? Can I get an amen up in here?” she says at the end of every episode, and reminds us all the importance of self love.

On her show, she continues to teach everyone how important we all are. RuPaul will always be a beacon of self love and acceptance and we’re so happy for Ru and Georges on their marriage!
