10. Unity Day (1.09)

Oh, Unity Day. What an iconic episode, for a whole bunch of reasons but mostly – power couple Bellamy and Clarke.

For an episode that starts with a party, it devolves into a whole lot else. From smirks and telling each other to let loose and have a drink (or two) to Grounder political meetings and loaded backup all in the span of a few hours – it’s classic Bellamy and Clarke, honestly.

The thing is, it’s a true sign of how they’ve come along. When Finn goes ahead on his own and sets up a meeting with the Grounder leader, thanks to Octavia and Lincoln, he lets Clarke know about the meeting – who promptly finds Bellamy, letting him in on the details and asking him to come along as backup.

With guns. Just in case. And when Bellamy asks if Finn knows she asked – she let’s him know that Finn doesn’t need to know. She asked him, and that’s that. She trusts him.

And she’s right to. With Bellamy, Raven and Jasper armed and hidden as backup, her, Finn and Octavia meet with Anya, the Grounder leader, on a nearby bridge.

"“Grounder princess looks pissed.” “Our princess has that effect.”"

And when shots start being fired and Anya pulls a knife on Clarke, it’s Bellamy, from yards away, who snipes the weapon from her hand – and a quick look from Clarke confirms that it was Bellamy who just saved her.

Leaders have each other’s backs.
