Patty Jenkins took to Twitter to announce that Ann Wolfe is Artemis in the new Wonder Woman flick and we’re excited with the casting!
Even though Wonder Woman is coming out this summer, that doesn’t mean that casting announcements for the movie are over. This Sunday, Patty Jenkins (the director of the film) took to Twitter to announce the film’s Artemis.
Ann Wolfe, one of the best female boxers in all of history, will be taking on the role. And Patty and the crew seem super excited to finally announce her!
But the love isn’t just from Patty. Ann seems to love the director just as much as the director seems to love her.
It makes sense that Ann is one of the Amazonian goddesses from Themyscira. Additionally, if the new trailer give us anything, it is a renewed sense of excitement for this new addition to the DC Extended Universe.
Starring Gal Gadot as Diana Prince (Wonder Woman herself) and Chris Pine as Steve Trevor (or her boyfriend without super powers). Really, it is just going to be an amazing movie that is far too overdue.
For years we have wanted a female led superhero movie and it took DC to give it to us. That’s a shame since Marvel has had nearly ten years to give us one, and they haven’t even tried. But now, we have Wonder Woman and it is going to be everything we wanted and more.
