11. Sarah Silverman: TBA

Coming to Netflix: May 30, 2017

Sarah Silverman provokes visceral reactions: either you love her irreverent brand of feminist comedy, or you absolutely hate it. Part girl-next-door, part savage critic, Sarah Silverman has become a comedy legend in her own time – and, arguably, one of the most successful comedians of the 21st century. Silverman is also the newest edition to the Netflix stand-up line-up: she was announced as a new edition only last month, and her special – which is as-yet-untitled – taped at the end of February.

This isn’t the first time Silverman has appeared on Netflix: she was also the best part of the otherwise-terrible Michael Bolton’s Big Sexy Valentine’s Day Special. Best of all, she’ll be working again with her long-time collaborator, Liam Lynch, who worked with her on Jesus is Magic and We Are Miracles. It’s Sarah’s timely delivery – the sass with a smile – that will make this special one of the 15 Netflix comedy specials that we’ll recommend again and again. In addition to being directed by Liam Lynch, Silverman will be producing the comedy special through her own JASH production umbrella.
