Chris Rock’s deal with Netflix made history, simply because the price tag was so high: a cool $40 million for two specials, which are in the process of being taped as of this writing, according to The Hollywood Reporter. We cannot emphasize enough how awesome these specials are going to be.

Even though Chris Rock has been away from stand-up since 2009’s Kill The Messenger, he’s sure to have a blistering commentary ready to go given these absolutely tumultuous times. Rock on Trump is worth the price of subscription alone, making these two well-priced specials worthy of making the list of the 15 Netflix comedy specials we highly recommend. Rock’s two specials are the precursors to a world tour he’s currently planning, though no dates for the tour have been announced.
