As the saying goes, opposites attract. Will Lexington is sweet, nice guy. Connor Walsh is harsh and abrasive. Despite that, he does tend to fall for the sweet and innocent type. When Will is first introduced, he just wanted to make it in country music. He has pure intentions and wants to go about doing things the right way. On the contrary, Connor will do anything, or anyone, it takes to get ahead.

In many ways though, Connor and Will are the same. Both are loyal to their friends, even if Connor is a bit begrudging about covering up a murder with his friends. Now, in romantic relationships, loyalty isn’t Will or Connor’s strong suit. Both men have a bit of a “player” vibe about them, avoiding commitment as much as they can. But for the right person – thank you Oliver and Kevin – that changes.

When one is weak, the other is strong. Where Will initially keeps his sexuality a secret and retracts into himself, Connor would push him to be open. If someone had something to say about it, they could take it up with Connor, and that’d be the end of that.

Worth noting: In a worst case scenario where things went south, Connor would make the perfect subject for a brand new hit country song.
