Don’t Stop Trying
Real talk: I hate on the DCEU because I’m a DC fan. There are movie universes out there that are garbage, but I don’t care nearly half as much because I’m not into the source material (the Transformers movies are just as bad, but don’t get nearly the same amount of scorn). But I grew up on DC characters and am constantly delighted to see them on the big screen.
And I want to keep seeing them on the big screen! I don’t want to Warner Brothers to give up and pull the plug. I think there is a good cast here, and some potential to build on the universe. Yeah, some serious changes are needed but I’d rather keep going than just rebooting and pretending this didn’t happen (like Spider-Man is currently doing).
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice had some major issues, but I think DC and WB know that. They’re going to course correct, and we’ll see changes in Wonder Woman and The Justice League. And maybe those movies won’t be great either, but they’ll listen and course correct again.

Maybe it’ll take them a while to really get it, but I just keep thinking how satisfying it will be when it happens. If they can turn this universe around and get some really great films on screen, it’ll be one great comeback story.
