It seems as if the Harry Potter cast is trying to take over every fandom as Jim Broadbent has been announced as taking on Game of Thrones.

Harry Potter and its band of misfit actors seem to be taking over every fandom as now Jim Broadbent is to be in Game of Thrones. This announcement comes right after the announcement that Jason Isaacs will take on the role of Captain in the new series Star Trek: Discovery.

While Jim isn’t an actor exclusively known for his role as Horace Slughorn in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, he is an important part of the series to fans.

And now we can enjoy him in another fan favorite show! According to Screencrush,  Broadbent said “I’m a maester, an archmaester. I’m an old professor character.” And we know we can at least see him in five episode. That’s what Jim told Screencrush! “I did five episodes. I did sort of one major scene in each episode.”

So much like his role as Horace, we will get to see Jim take on another professor role. And at least we’ll get to see more of his work. That’s all we fans want. We want our favorites from the film to succeed so we can continue to be fans and appreciate all they do.

Lucky for us, Jim continues to work and give us even more of his stuff to cherish. And believe me, he has a lot. Remember him in Moulin Rouge!?
