9. A Happy Ending for Jorah of Mormont

The happiest of all happy endings for Jorah of Mormont would be if he got married to the Khaleesi and lived happily ever after. But that’s not gonna happen. Ever. Sorry, Jorah.

But there’s one more of many Game of Thrones theories that gives a happy ending to Jorah of Mormont: the one where he’s cured of greyscale.

We’ll recall that, in the last season, the Khaleesi sent Jorah away with the command that he not return “until you find that which cures you, Jorah of Mormont.” And as she said it with tears running down her face, we all felt a little love for the Andal.

Jorah’s story is far from over, though: a fan caught Iain Glenn – the actor who plays Jorah – on a plane to Belfast, reading a script. While an actor reading a script doesn’t – and shouldn’t – garner much attention, Game of Thrones frequently films in Belfast, and this suggests that Jorah will come back in time to show his beloved Daenerys that he has, in fact, been cured of the greyscale.

As for who will do it and how: some fans believe the answer lies with Quaithe, who helped Jorah find the Khaleesi’s pilfered dragons all the way back in Season 2.
