Deadpool 2’s Teaser Hints At More Characters Coming

Deadpool 2’s teaser debuted before “Logan” and premiered online, and the amount of easter eggs is insane. The internet may have just found another

The teaser for Deadpool 2 before Logan is the most lighthearted part of the movie. And it’s not even part of the movie! Then again, making this the “post-credits scene” would have taken away from the dour ending of Hugh Jackman’s last foray as Wolverine.

It did just what it needed to do: Get you excited for the sequel that’s still in pre-production, but slated for a 2018 release.

We know that Cable will play a big part in the movie, as he’s huge with Deadpool in the comics. But we still don’t know who’s playing the time-traveling mutant. And in the teaser, there’s graffiti on the phone booth he changes in that states “Nathan Summers coming soon!”

But one piece of graffiti might be more than just pointless graffiti. And in dealing with comic book movies, everything is more than it seems.

Before Wade Wilson dashes into the phone booth, there’s a bit of graffiti on the back window that reads “HOPE” underlined.

That may just refer to Hope Summers.

You probably recognize the last name (thanks to Cyclops and Cable for sure). But you probably don’t know Hope.

In the comics, Hope Summers is the first mutant born after Scarlet Witch drastically reduces the number of mutants in the world (by uttering “No more mutants,” she’s that powerful).

Cable saves her from a group of zealots who want to kill her because they believe she’ll kill a million people in six minutes (very specific). But Cable believes she’s the messiah of the world. He raises her as his own.

And at some point, she also becomes Phoenix, but that’s a long and convoluted storyline.

We’re not quite sure if the graffiti does mean Hope Summers will make her appearance in Deadpool 2, but fingers crossed she does.
