We run down the best and the skimpiest of the outfits from the 2017 iHeartRadio Awards red carpet event from music’s newest night.

If the Grammys are “Music’s Biggest Night”, then the iHeartRadio Awards must be “Music’s Newest Night”. After all, iHeartradio, the internet radio channel, was only founded in 2008, and only succeeded in becoming the most well known of the Internet radio platforms this decade. Their music awards only started three years ago, in 2014, but have, in the intervening time, become the closest thing to a “hip” and most “in touch” of the music award shows around today, firmly dethroning any pretense that MTV or the American Music Awards might have still had a shot at the title.

Their hipster and with it aura means that the larger stars who still want to be considered relevant to those of the tweener set must show up (hello there Taylor Swift) while the actual majority of the attendees are going to be names that people over the age of thirty will feel old just hearing, as they have no idea who any of them are. But if there’s one thing that remains constant in the music business it’s that those idols that teenagers worship have to be people that neither mom or dad has ever heard of.

Let’s meet these fresh faces and judge their attire shall we? Please note, due to the nature of this event, we are grading on a hard curve.
