True Blood

True Blood robbed us of a happy ending, or at least an ending that resolved our Team Bill vs. Team Eric feud. In a flash forward, we see a pregnant Sookie embrace a faceless, dark-haired man in a scene of normal domestic tranquility. The show, in it’s final scene gave Sookie what she craved for the entirety of the season: an ordinary life. But Sookie being Sookie, it’s unlikely she could keep the supernatural at bay.

If we were to peek at her today, her normal life is no longer. With her remaining fairy blood – which she refused to use on Bill’s death – she is still attracting vampires, etc. Her bond with Eric, stronger than ever now that Bill is gone, drew him back to her and they are now, and once again, madly in love.

As faithfully allegorical as True Blood was to the LGBT and inclusion agenda, it stands to reason that Sookie and Eric’s life wouldn’t be so riddled with opposition and intolerance. No, they live in a world where inter-species marriages are acknowledged and accepted. They are out and proud, because, as Louisiana recently realized, God does not, in fact, hate fangs.

Pam still runs Fantasia for Eric, and she is insanely, ridiculously wealthy because of her entrepreneurial spirit and Sarah Newlin’s blood. She’s also a popular SnapChat star, garnering almost 50 million followers.

Lafayette and James are still together and run an inpatient program for drug-addicted youth. They don’t have children yet, as Lafayette is too occupied running Bonne Temps most popular nightclub – complete with a weekly drag show.
