Breaking Down the Dancing With the Stars Cast By the Odds

DANCING WITH THE STARS – BONNER BOLTON WITH SHARNA BURGESS – The celebrity cast of “Dancing with the Stars” are donning their glitzy wardrobe and slipping on their dancing shoes as they ready themselves for their first dance on the ballroom floor, as the season kicks off on MONDAY, MARCH 20 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EST), on the ABC Television Network. Sharna Burgess: Bonner Bolton, the model/bull rider
For the second season in a row, Sharna’s been given the man who got horrifically injured doing a dangerous sport and made a somewhat miraculous recovery. He may be the most obscure member of the cast, though. Most people probably learned his story for the first time just now from ABC.
Fans of Professional Bull Riding would have long known him, though. He was already near the top of the sport when the accident happened in January 2016. The inspirational recovery story won’t let them forget him. They might not seem like many, but just remember, the other bull rider to compete on the show, Ty Murray, made the semi-finals, and when he wasn’t that good a dancer. The modeling career he’s recently transitioned into probably didn’t get him too many more fans. Models usually don’t get them. But it’s practice for him looking good, at least. Also, people with his kind of story inevitably pick up more fans, at least if they’re decent dancers.
But when Ty Murray, again, wasn’t a great dancer, we have no assurance he’ll be one. And the show was a lot less competitive back when Murray made that run. That’s not something very likely to happen today. Even if a guy of the determination Bolton’s shown is his recovery might just make himself into a dancer.
