DANCING WITH THE STARS – NICK VIALL WITH PETA MURGATROYD – The celebrity cast of “Dancing with the Stars” are donning their glitzy wardrobe and slipping on their dancing shoes as they ready themselves for their first dance on the ballroom floor, as the season kicks off on MONDAY, MARCH 20 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EST), on the ABC Television Network. Peta Murgatroyd: Nick Viall, the current Bachelor
Nick Viall is the fourth Bachelor to continue his reality run straight into Dancing with the Stars. Very much so; the final of The Bachelor airs only three days before this premiere! The three men before him were neither the best nor the worst dancers, the most successful finishing fifth. Since the men who star on this show don’t necessarily have much in common, though, that doesn’t mean he can’t be either. He could be the shock of the season. He could be the awful guy who thankfully goes first. We just don’t know. More likely he’ll be middle of the pack, like them. Like most people would be.
Bachelors have done one nice thing for viewers, though. They haven’t overstayed their welcome. They can be good enough, or endearing enough, to sometimes last a little bit beyond their technical ability. But they don’t come in with too big a fanbase, so they have to do something right to survive. This was even true for Sean Lowe, the one of them who’s danced with Peta before. It was earlier in her Dancing with the Stars career, when her fanbase was maybe a little smaller. But it was also after her first win, so that fanbase wasn’t nothing.
Right now, it looks like Peta will be getting back home to her new son soon enough. Unless Viall turns out be better than those who came before him.
