Breaking Down the Dancing With the Stars Cast By the Odds

Keo Motsepe: Charo, the (hopefully cool) old lady
Poor Keo. They’ve never given him the best of partners. His first three seasons, he never lasted more than three weeks. He did at least get to week 8 in his fourth appearance. But now for his fifth he’s been saddled by a woman who even by her latest given birthdate is still the oldest member of the cast, and, what’s more, nobody who wasn’t alive in the 1970s has heard of.
Unless, of course, one was watching this show all the way back in season 10, when Charo briefly appeared in a fluff piece to give Pamela Anderson flamenco advice. She hasn’t danced it, though; she’s just played it on guitar. She’s actually a woman of multiple talents that she’s shown over the years, but dancing isn’t among them. Personality may be, though. Her continual TV appearances in the 70s had to be encouraged by something, and she came across pretty strong in that fluff piece. She’s got a pretty good chance of being cool, even if her age and history make being a good dancer a much dicier prospect.
It might even be enough to win her votes, but she’ll have to win them quick. She’ll come in with very few, and Keo’s still struggling to get enough screentime to build a base. She fails to impress in the first week, she might just be the first elimination.
