DANCING WITH THE STARS – ERIKA JAYNE WITH GLEB SAVCHENKO – The celebrity cast of “Dancing with the Stars” are donning their glitzy wardrobe and slipping on their dancing shoes as they ready themselves for their first dance on the ballroom floor, as the season kicks off on MONDAY, MARCH 20 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EST), on the ABC Television Network. Gleb Savchenko: Erika Jayne, the B-list singer/Real Housewife
None of the Real Housewives who have appeared on Dancing with the Stars have been very good at dancing, though one had the attitude to make up for it. But Erika Jayne shouldn’t really be classed in with them anyway. Before she was a Real Housewife, she was a singer. Her biggest success has been her music for dance clubs; her debut single there even hit the top of the dance club charts.
She also has a handful of acting credits even outside reality TV and being credited as herself. It’s not enough to stop her from mainly being a single, but it is enough to say she has experience when it comes to performance and expression as well as dance-related movement. Even in her music career, she’s known for creating a character. So she’s got plenty to build on.
She’s not the most famous celebrity in the cast. But there the Real Housewives history helps her; they’ve most of them stayed longer than they ought to. Gleb, too, has come a long way from the last time he danced with a Real Housewife and went out early. Hopefully his run last season got him a few more supporters. His good looks certainly can’t hurt. If these two are good, they should survive long enough to pick up further fans. And she probably will be, even if her age doesn’t make it entirely certain, and as with Kerrigan, makes one worry more about injury.
