RuPaul and his merry band of cohorts are back in RuPaul’s Drag Race season 9. While we’ve all been waiting for a premiere date, the show moved to VH1.

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars ended just a few months ago, but we’re on our way to a Lady Gaga-filled season 9. Well, not exactly filled. But she’s going to make a long overdue appearance. And if you’ve been wondering how long it would take before RuPaul’s Drag Race premiered, wonder no longer.

As Entertainment Weekly exclusively learned, RuPaul’s Drag Race season 9 will premiere on Friday, March 24. Further, the show will no longer air on Logo. Instead, Drag Race will reach a “broader audience” by airing new episodes on VH1, with encore episodes airing on Logo.

Just to clarify, Viacom Media owns both networks, so they’re basically co-oping RuPaul’s Drag Race.

According to Pamela Post, Logo’s senior VP of programming:

"“Coming off RuPaul’s Emmy win and a ratings record-breaking season of All Stars, the fandom around RuPaul’s Drag Race has only continued to swell as we head into season nine. Broadcasting the show on VH1 will allow more fans to experience the energy, heart, and talent these fierce queens bring to the stage every week.”"

To commemorate this momentous occasion, which marks the first time RuPaul‘s has moved networks, Logo plans to air Race to the Nines. During this marathon, Logo will only be airing previous episodes from March 19 to the premiere five days later.

For an idea of all the fabulous queens headed your way for season 9, Entertainment Weekly also rounded up a look at the new cast. With select photos from their personal Instagrams, you can check it all out here.
