Here are 13 Actors We’d Love to see Play Professor X in the X-Men

10. Dev Patel

Dev Patel, the beautiful boy from Skins who went on to star in Oscar nominated film after Oscar nominated film would be a great choice. He’s British, he’s beautiful, and just why not? Having a man of color take on the role would be something different for the Marvel universe.

Normally they white wash roles (looking at you Doctor Strange) so taking a white character and giving him to a man of color would bring a big audience to the film. That and most girls and boys who love Dev would come flocking to the film. Because really, who doesn’t love looking at Dev Patel?

To be honest, I think it would be a smart move for Marvel to give the role to anyone but a white man. Which is currently how we feel about a lot of things and it’s not wrong of us. We’ve just had the last 2,017 years of white men ruling everything. We just want a change.

So let Dev take on Charles Xavier. Even if it means making him shave away those beautiful black curls of his. It’ll be worth it to see him starring in a superhero movie though. Because really, we just want Dev to be in everything.
