Here are 13 Actors We’d Love to see Play Professor X in the X-Men

11. Helen Mirren

Stop and think about how funny a bald Helen Mirren would be. Got it? Good now you know why she’d be a great pick for Professor X. Honestly, who doesn’t want to see Helen Mirren in everything? That’s the joy of her as an actress. She’s so amazing and we just want to see as much of her work as physically possible.

Helen Mirren could play any iconic character and we’d be lucky to have her. That’s why a lot of us are campaigning for her to play the Doctor next in Doctor Who. She’s brilliant in everything that she does and you know she’d absolutely kill playing Charles Xavier.

The only problem is that she’s a woman and many comic book fans don’t want to change the fact that Charles was always a bald white man. The world may be changing but the minds of some remain very limited. So she would probably get a bit of backlash for taking on the role. (And honestly how dare people hypothetically hate on Helen Mirren!)

So Helen makes our dream list because even if we’ll probably never see her play Charles Xavier, it is great to think about how amazing she’d be.
