The Oscars 2017 Red Carpet is the biggest event on the Movie Awards calendar. So who brought their A Game and wore dresses for the ages?

Winning the Oscars Red Carpet Game is a high wire act. A dress that might not have worked on an actress a couple of years ago might be exactly the look they need today. It requires a perfect blend of the right actress understand how the public sees her and choosing to wear (over the opinions of publicists and designers) the right design at the right point in their careers. But when it works–it really works.

This year’s red carpet featured the girl gang of the Hidden Figures cast, most of which have been bringing it on the red carpet all season. We also have such regularly scheduled stars as Nicole Kidman, Charlize Theron, and Scarlett Johansson while such other red carpet staples such as Angelina Jolie and Natalie Portman stayed home. We also have new faces, like Emma Stone and Auli’i Cravalho, who are working to make an impression.
