Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Wins an Oscar

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them now can add an Oscar win to their list of awards that the film won this last award season!

The newest film in the Harry Potter franchise is Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. And apparently critics love it just as much as fans do. For those who don’t know, Fantastic Beasts was up for some Oscar nominations last night and Colleen Atwood ended up winning an Academy Award!

For Best Costume Design, Colleen won for her work in Fantastic Beasts. And as she should have. The costumes in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them were absolutely incredible. Already fans of the series have created cosplays based on them and the attention to detail is amazing.

Colleen put so much work in each costume for the movie and made us fans love these new character. The detail in Percival Graves costume alone should have clinched her the win but that wasn’t even the best costume.

Each character had a unique look that works for them and their lives and it was just so creative and well planned out. Colleen put in amazing work to bring Newt, Tina, Queenie, Creedence, Jacob and so many more to life.

These characters were new to us and Colleen helped to fully form them in our eyes. We got to appreciate these new characters and we couldn’t have done it without her work.
