Donald Trump Will Not Attend the White House Correspondents Dinner

In the history of the White House Correspondents Dinner, the president has always attended but now Donald Trump is not going to be there.

Donald Trump continues to prove to us that he is one of the worst presidents of all time. How, you ask? By saying he will not attend the White House Correspondents Dinner. For those who don’t know, the White House Correspondents Dinner is when the president thanks people of the press.

As we know, Trump has had quite the rocky relationship with the press. Recently, they banned specific news outlets from attending a press briefing with Sean Spicer. CNN, The New York Times, Politico, The Los Angeles Times and BuzzFeed were all banned from a ‘gaggle’ in Sean Spicer’s office.

So it isn’t really that surprising but still, it is insane that Donald Trump will not be attending.

What does this mean for the future of our country and our news outlets? For many, especially those who support Trump, the news is the enemy. But CNN, The New York Times, Politico, The Los Angeles Times and BuzzFeed are the ones delivering us the news we need.

Trump wants praise and he wants people only respect him. But he doesn’t want the price of what comes with being president. He doesn’t want the truth spread because if he looks bad, the he thinks people won’t appreciate him.

But this? Not going to the White House Correspondents Dinner because of how he feels about the press? That is definitely not helping his case. And it isn’t helping him look like a decent president either.
