Every talk show host is taking their shots at Trump but Seth Meyers is doing a great job of balancing news with this sharp wit.
Seth Meyers had a closer look last night that truly took a deeper look at Trump’s first month at the presidency. He points out that members of Congress are facing town hall meetings and dealing with everything that is going on with their constituents while Trump is out golfing and tweeting.
“You forget that when it comes to being a hypocrite, Donald Trump has a zero handicap. He is the Tiger Woods of hypocrisy,” Seth says when people pointed out Trump, who was so against anytime Barack Obama golfed, has played 6 times since becoming president.
For those who don’t know, Trump tweeted almost every time Obama golfed. Really. He complained about it and said that Obama wasn’t protecting us because he was golfing. So what is Trump doing then going and golfing 6 times in his first month as president?
Seth then points out that while Trump is out golfing and tweeting about everything (because he spends too much time watching television), Republican members of Congress are out trying to put out fires with their constituents.
“Look at Mitch McConnell. Even the memory of telling Elizabeth Warren to sit down brings a smile to his face.” Seth then went on to show the town hall meetings and gave us a look at how angry everyone is with what is happening with Trump.
