de Havilland took home her second win in 1949 for The Heiress, beating out Jeanne Crain, Susan Hayward, Deborah Kerr and Loretta Young.

1951: Judy Holliday

Holliday won for her role in Born Yesterday, beating out Anne Baxter, Bette Davis, Eleanor Parker and Gloria Swanson.

1952: Vivien Leigh

Leigh took home her second win for her (also iconic) role in A Streetcar Named Desire as Blanche DuBois. She won against Katharine Hepburn, Eleanor Parker, Shelley Winters and Jane Wyman.

1953: Shirley Booth

Booth won for her performance in Come Back, Little Sheba in 1952, beating Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Julie Harris and Susan Hayward for the award.

1954: Audrey Hepburn

1958: Joanne Woodward

1959: Susan Hayward
