It takes a special kind of woman to  maintain a kind, thoughtful spirit and succeed in a political career, but Leslie Knope is more than special. She might just be the ideal woman – every man should want to be with her, and every woman should want to be just like her. She’s absolutely perfect.

She would never admit to this, but Amy Poehler, herself has said her character is a total badass. Leslie did everything with enthusiasm and her effort at doing life made her completely admirable. Any woman who can maintain that kind of intensity even when she’s facing incredible obstacles is a hero. She’s eager to spread positivity and justice, and she’s tireless in her pursuits. Whatever they are.

She was the sort of woman who always had time to do the right thing, to offer a kind word, or to go the extra mile. She was the best friend a girl could ask for, inventing the entire concept of Galentines Day. She was a supportive wife, offering her love and reassurance to her man through all of the weird and awkward stuff he went through. She’s also a devoted patriot and citizen, spending all her professional time trying to make her town and country a better place. Tip: be like Leslie Knope.
