Shortly before Bennifer walked the carpet, Julianne Moore dazzled one and all in a dress that would earn her a spot on this list of the 10 best Oscar dresses of all time. Julianne is a natural redhead – and, arguably, is one of the most gorgeous redheads to ever walk Planet Earth. She has flawless alabaster skin, striking green eyes, and flowing red curls that would make her the envy of any one of us, regardless of the level of self-esteem we have (and this writer has plenty).
So, Julianne made a choice that was nothing if not wise: she chose a shoulder-less, floor-length, emerald green Tom Ford for Yves Saint Laurent dress that drew out all of her best features. Best of all, it hugged every curve in all the right places, making her look like a supermodel strutting the catwalk instead of an actress walking the red carpet. Her purse even matched her dress! While her choice of black peep toe shoes probably left something to be desired, there’s no question that her dress was one of the best of 2003, and of all time.
