“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” brings it all to the table with its LMDs. Watch our last remaining non-LMD SHIELD agents fight for their lives!

How many more LMDs will Agents of SHIELD shove in our faces? Well, let’s dive in and find out!

Not-So-Short Summary

FitzSimmons try to figure out how they should proceed when all of their LMD friends show up. Everything is just slightly off. It’s really creepy, especially with all the LMDs slowly closing in on FitzSimmons in any social situation.

So what’s the master plan? Bringing every single Inhuman to HQ.

Too bad these LMDs know they’re LMDs.

And that Fitz is an LMD. Why do FitzSimmons have the most heartbreaking scenes? With Fitz at gunpoint, they scream in each other’s faces about their constant bad luck and that one of them is the LMD.

It is intense. Because Simmons pulls out her Hydra undercover badassness and when she wakes up, she goes after Fitz. It’s a lot of stabbing and one last angry stab to his carotid artery that shuts him down. It’s going to be our badass moment of the week!

MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. – “BOOM” – Daisy, Mace and the S.H.I.E.L.D. team must find a way to contain an explosive Inhuman. Meanwhile, Coulson and Mack come face-to-face with Radcliffe’s inspiration for Aida, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Jennifer Clasen)

CHLOE BENNET

Oh, and Daisy stumbles upon 20 LMD versions of herself down in the Inhuman holding containers. So what, her gauntlets triggered the LMD warning at the end of the last episode?

Thank goodness Agents of SHIELD doesn’t take too long for Daisy and Simmons to find solace with each other in the fact that neither of them are killer robots.

“Through all the insane crap we’ve gone through, the one thing I’ve known without a doubt the whole time is that you and Fitz belong together,” Daisy tells her. “This is not how your story ends.” And this is what powers them through their escape plan.

They flood the place with sleeping gas and knock out everyone but the LMDs. The best moment of their escape is when Daisy literally blows Mack’s face off. It’s everything you could hope for and more.

After their escape, Daisy and Simmons somehow create a backdoor into the Framework and head in. Oh my goodness, I can’t even begin. Daisy’s dating Ward, Coulson is teaching a class on fearing Inhumans, Simmons is … dead? And the Triskelion is still alive and kicking as Hydra with May working there.

On the Radcliffe-side of things, Aida explains her conundrum with her two main directives. To fix her problem, she slits Radcliffe’s wrists and shoves him into the Framework. The biggest threat to the Framework is Radcliffe. But not if he’s just part of the Framework!

Post-Credits Scene

The Superior wakes up in his LMD form. Turns out he’s not a full LMD because his head is controlling his LMD body remotely. Kind of cool! Aida has created the perfect LMD because he feels all human emotions.

Badass Moment of the Week

Simmons stabbing LMD!Fitz multiple times. That has to take an emotional toll, especially after he talks about marrying her.

MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. – “Self Control” – Suspicion turns to paranoia when the team doesn’t know who can be trusted as more LMDs infiltrate S.H.I.E.L.D., on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Eric McCandless)

Best One Liner

“I don’t want to be a thing like you,” the Superior tells her.
“Don’t worry, you’ll be many things,” Aida replies as she pulls out a saw to chop him into bits.

It’s pretty creepy to see everyone hooked up to the Framework, completely passed out and smiling.

The unsung hero of this episode (well maybe not so unsung) is LMD!May letting Daisy and Simmons pass through and taking on LMD!Coulson. I know she’s not the real May, but it’s a breath of fresh air to see her actually showing some emotions … before she blows them up.

Oh my god, Grant Ward! I can’t even speak words about how happy this makes me. I may just have to brush off my hashtag of #NoWardRedemptionArc. This might be so much better than that Ward LMD I hoped for.
