On Ed Sheeran’s Birthday, He Gave us All a Gift with a New Song

Ed Sheeran vanished for 8 months and it was honestly the best thing to have happened because he came back better and stronger than ever.

Today is Ed Sheeran’s 26th birthday and while most would expect gifts from people, but not Ed. Instead, he wants to give us all his music. And this one is a great addition to the Ed songbook.

The song is one of his slower numbers but of course it has Ed’s lyrical charm. Like most of his songs, it is just great to listen to. His lyrics have a way of penetrating us and making us really think about what he’s saying.

Honestly it’s just great to have Ed back. While those 8 months seem like nothing now, it was weird not having new music from him. Whether it was his own voice or songs he wrote for One Direction or anyone else, we were constantly getting new Ed Sheeran material.

Then he vanished for 8 months to travel the world and we were all lost for a bit. At least now we don’t have to think about that that time without Ed because he’s back and better than ever. And this is just one of three released songs so far. We have a whole new album to look forward to come March 3rd!

So Ed, thank you for coming back. We knew you would but it was a hard time here without you. And if this album is all songs like “How Would You Feel”, “Shape of You”, and “Castle on the Hill”, we’re going to love.
