47. Idris Elba

“Who’s that guy you love? The one that’s British and was in whatever star thing your brother likes?” I talk about Idris Elba a lot and I’m sure she remembers his name but instead she just waits for me to figure it out.

I also don’t think Idris Elba needs the help of my mother to convince women and men to love him. We’re all pretty on board with loving this god among men. But I humored my mother and added him nonetheless. (Spoiler alert, most the men on here definitely don’t need my mom’s help but they’re here because they’re beautiful.)

So Idris got added and then it turned into a battle over who would date him. My mom uses her age card frequently and says that men love cougars and I pointed out that I actually knew his name was Idris.

Either way, we’re both single and not dating Idris Elba so I guess neither of us won that fight. But it does make me happy that my mother’s list includes one of the biggest heartthrobs out there right now. It’s like she’s hip with the times and knows that we all would die for Idris Elba if he asked.
