37. Patrick Dempsey

As you can see, my mom hit her Shondaland shows and has fallen into a rabbit hole of the Rhimes men. With Patrick Dempsey, I remember when he became McDreamy because my mom said “he used to be so dweeby. Here, we’ll watch Can’t Buy Me Love and you’ll see”.

So we did just that and I fell in love with Patrick Dempsey just as she did. Maybe that’s why I sobbed when McDreamy (Derek Shepherd for those who have never been sucked into the Grey’s Anatomy hole) was killed off.

I guess spoiler alert for a few years ago? And honestly if you missed that spoiler, how? Were you in a bunker? But my mom told me to add Patrick to the list by saying “I really miss him on the show. He was great as McDreamy”.

To be honest, I’m almost positive she didn’t realize that his name was McDreamy. And if I call her out on it, I’ll probably get yelled and told that she hates when I don’t think she knows things. Love you mom, even if you still can’t say Ashton Kutcher properly. But with Patrick Dempsey, her love was reignited after seeing Bridget Jones’s Baby and the rest was history.
