Lightbulb

Remember when there was a lantern piece in Monopoly? Yeah, me neither, because the vast majority of us weren’t born. The lantern was a piece back in the 30s, 40s, and 50s and was removed in favor of the adorable Scottie dog, the wheelbarrow, and the horse rider. We haven’t had a light-based piece since, so it seems like a great time to reinstate it. Not the lantern itself, which seems more akin to camping now than whatever it was meant to represent back then, but something like a lightbulb.

I opted for a lightbulb over a more conventional lamp or fixture because of its symbolism for new ideas and intellect. The only downside to a lightbulb is that it’s likely to roll around the board and not stand properly. How hard do you think it would be to make a piece of one of those cool, twisty, energy-efficient bulbs?
